What is TradeBricks?
TradeBricks is a visual research desk for systematic traders. You snap together a trading idea from typed bricks, backtest it honestly, and — only if it survives — run it against a live account. No code required, no overfit promises.
Most strategy tools optimize for one thing: making a backtest look good. TradeBricks optimizes for the opposite — telling you the truth about whether your idea has an edge before you risk a dollar on it. Everything here is built around three connected surfaces.
A node canvas where you wire indicators, logic, entries, and exits into a strategy. Ports are typed and color-coded, so only compatible bricks connect.
Read more →Connect a prop-firm or broker account and watch a clean, real-numbers dashboard. A direct-API key is verified and stored encrypted server-side — never shown back to you.
Read more →Publish a strategy as a portable, non-injectable JSON spec, or fork someone else's into your own Lab and make it yours.
Read more →You don’t have to wire anything by hand to start. The built-in AI assistant can assemble a valid strategy from a plain-English description and drop it on the canvas — then you tweak and backtest it like any other graph.
The philosophy
Two ideas drive every screen: simplicity outside, depth on click, and honesty about edge.
- Simplicity outside. The default view is visual and quiet. You should be able to read a whole strategy at a glance — the colors of the wires tell you what flows where. Complexity (params, math, exit rules) lives one click deeper.
- Honesty about edge. A backtest is a hypothesis, not a promise. TradeBricks holds out data you never get to peek at, runs overfitting statistics on every result, and will plainly tell you “no edge net of costs” when that’s the truth. It is built to talk you out of bad strategies, not into them.
TradeBricks is a tool for research and learning. Nothing here is financial advice, and a positive backtest is never a guarantee of future returns. Markets change; edges decay. Read the Backtesting page to understand exactly how much (and how little) a green verdict means.
